Introduction
Running, running, always running
But never getting anywhere
Panting, reaching, struggling, gasping
Falling, always falling
You'll never reach the other side
You'll never make it out alive
So why try?
Everyone has a past. Everyone has a history, a tale of horror, a dark secret they don't
want anyone to know about. When your own life is awash with misery and
sorrow, you stop wondering why the others look beaten too. You don't need their suffering
added to your own. You learn to deal with the grief by yourself. You close your heart,
so you cannot feel, but the world doesn't stop crying.
The nightmare is never ending
It just goes on and on
It waits for you, once have have awoken
Waiting for you to come back to it
When all that awaits you is horror, fear, death
Why bother to sleep?
Yes, we all have our own story, our own unique tale of woe. But they're all the same
really, in the end. A story about sadness, pain, heartbreak. No one can
change the past. But you can change the future. The past says who you were. Only you
can say who you will be. By the way you act today. By the way you act tomorrow, and the
day after that. By the way you cope with the hand you were dealt. Those who have courage
overcome the darkness and step forth into the light. And it is here, in this place of new
beginnings, where such things happen. This is the place where the scars of the past are
healed, the place where the frightened and abused learn to trust again. This is the place
where the wild at heart at last learn to dream once more.
Here is your out
Ahead of you, the end to the nightmares
It's not the light at the end of the tunnel
It's another, stronger light, there in the distance
There, on the horizon, coming with the rising sun
I know it looks far, but I'll be there with you
Every step of the way
Together, we can escape the torment
Are you coming?
Season: Late Summer
Weather:Compared to the days of the depthless, hazy heat, these days of late summer are as crisp as a seemingly crepe-papered moon. A tangy scent of crimson and gold leaks from the leaves like spilled rust, rustled and frail. Though days are still warm and placid, the occasional glacial breeze slips by without one’s complete notice - as that is often the case with the unwarranted departure of summer’s overflowing warmth. It is like an elemental crucible in Sidewalk now – days of blazes, and days of pure autumnal bliss. However, on all days as of late it has been very blustery; wind pours down from the mountains in the distance at a constant influx. Dogs are a bit ruffled up – especially those most concerned about their fur – so it’s best to let your hackles lie flat for the time being, or canines may be snagged by these Northern wind.

Logs && Pups (2 sub-boards) It's simple, here you can find both the birthing/breeding form (which is where you need to go in order to insure that your characters are allowed to mate). And this is also a place where you can find the forum for character logs.
Hills Cemetary Resting at the crest of a large hill, and up the path of a winding cracked sidewalk is a cemetary. It has been long ago forgotten, its fences rusted and weather beaten. The shrubbery is overgrown and the headstones are cracked and falling to pieces. It is an eerie place, and it is said to be haunted.
The Junkyard This large, chaotic-looking junkyard is home to many creatures, some dangerous and others not. The rundown cars and other machinary give the perfect amount of bedding. Though it is advised that you watch your back here, seeing as how some humans have been known to frequent this area, mostly teenagers looking to cause some trouble.
Mayor's Mansion Several years ago, the mayor of the city had a beautiful mansion just a few miles into the countryside. However, it was notoriously set on fire by his scorned wife when she found out about his mistress. Only a small portion of the mansion survived the fire, a large bit of it lies in burned shambles. It is a dangerous, yet remarkably intriguing place.
Cherry Blossom Lane Perhaps the one and only truly "romantic" place within the confines of the desolate place we all call Sidewalk, but nonetheless, its a remarkable area. A stretching meadow, untouched by human presence lie nestled in a gaping valley. Within it, are a plentiful amount of sakura, or cherry blossom trees as they are more accurately known. Flowers bloom here, even in the most cold weather, and are quite plentiful. Very few hardened strays venture here out of repulsion.
Mineshaft This is one of the most rural and dangerous areas within the city, it's stationed off to the farthest western corner of the town limits. Around the entrance to the mineshaft is tattered yellow tape, the remaints of crime scene tape. To venture past the tape and into the darkness of the mineshaft can mean one of two things: adventure, or death.
The Lot This is a place frequented by teenagers, looking for a place to party. It's little more than a large patch of grass nestled between two towering buildings. In the corner there's an old fountain, that suprisingly still spurts clear water. This is the ideal place to look for companions, seeing as how it's not the grunge scene most trouble-seeking dogs look for.
The Strip A large downtown area, referred to amungst teenagers as "the strip". It's complete with several fast food restraunts and conveniant stores, often making it a target amungst lone dogs and packs.
Dalton Pines This is a place that most strays tend to steer clear of for fear of being captured or worse. Humans and their pets rule here in this neighborhood, and they do so with an iron fist. Most yards contain fenced in dogs, but, on occasion, there are few who escape and most are territorial about their homes being intruded on. The houses almost all look the same, though there is an old Victorian or two thrown into the mix. Though the rows of houses mean plenty of food and shelter, you usually have to fight to get it.
Abandoned Construction Site Dark rich thick red clay in what is consumed of this large plot of land. Grass and kudzu is trying to grow back in this abandoned area. An old CAT is in the middle of this area, haunting many dogs’ minds as they believe it to be a monster. This area was going to be the start of a nice neighbor hood, but when the construction company went bankrupt, construction ceased. Perhaps, later in the year, they will start back with the construction.
Phantom Woods The name is perfectly befitting of this five by five mile stretch of woods on the north side of the city. During the day, it is a happy and glee-filled place. But when twilight hits, everything seems to twist into a nightmarish hell. Shadows thrown by moon seem to dance about, laughing curses at you. The branches of the trees reach down to grab at your fur and tear at your face. Unexplainable noises float through the darkness. Be you brave enough to travel here at night? This land rests right next to the Hills Cemetary. Beware of this pack resting so close by.
Old Movie Theater The humans have long deserted this old cinema years ago. So far back, that people even stopped questioning why it was condemned. However, this is a frequently used gathering spot for many dogs of all shapes and sizes. Unlike most of the newer movie theaters of our time, this building only supports one big screen. It’s not a very large place, but once you get inside the darkness can frighten near about anyone.
Cobble Stone Path A long winding cobble stone path, leads back to an old wilted house. Weeds and ferns grow high around the house, and even up the walls and on the roof of old woman’s house. They refer to her as “cat lady”. Legend has it that this woman has around two hundred cats, and as the story goes it’s a very popular place for the dogs to come and play. Now, keep in mind that this woman no longer chases after dogs with brooms … but now a gun. So, be as sly as a fox when you come around this part of the beaten path. Danger lurks behind every corner, and we advice not advancing inside the house.
